Okay,
so we are a little less decisive about our ortofons, but this is
because there are a couple of different ways to go.
Step 1) We
do not sell or condone the use of ortofon concordes, they are a
gimmick and crapola. You will inevitably rip the little arm off
and they don’t fit in carrying cases. Get the halfmount pictured
below, it fits on a normal headshell which will set you back $30..
Step
2) We usually recommend the QBERT halfmount because
it's nice and loud, however, the rest of the range is also very
good. We also stock the DJE and SCRATCH (because some of our staff
love them and insist on it). We also stock the PRO S, which is
the bottom of the range. This is the cheap option and once you
have killed the stylus (which you will do in short order because
it's actually smaller on this model) you replace it with a SCRATCH
or DJ E needle and bob's yer uncle.
