Right, so we're a little bit chuffed with this one - Charades and Boom Boom are teaming up this January to bring you something quite special. Right about the time when that serotonin starts replenishing your neurons and your liver (hopefully) churns back into gear
It's something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue… No, we aren't getting married, but we're all for that kind of thing so anybody that would like to book their reception on the night speak to Nergal.
For a special lineup we felt we needed a special venue, something a bit different to the ordinary, so we have secured the The Imperial hotel to host these acts. Charades and Boom Boom will be putting their own visual and layout touches to the venue, but for the most part we are keeping it to the raw, dark, stripped back feel and focus on the sound. Proper clubbing, the old fashioned way.
Mr. G needs no introduction. But it would be blasphemy to not give him one anyway. Now we all know the word hero gets thrown around far too much, but in this case it's more than warranted. Over the years Mr G has been travelling the world with his live show and production tearing every club apart. We have seen him kill the Boiler Room in London and Sonar in Barcelona it’s time to be part of another legendary story here in Sydney. The energy, the rhythm and the pure ecstasy is infectious and we are excited and a little scared of the damage Mr G is going to do on the dance floor of the Imperial. Time to get your mind fucked up!
Mancunian born and bred Trus'Me is another name that you needn't be reminded of, a man who has shaken the floorboards of many dance floors in Australia before and all over the world, his eclectic DJ sets. his unique, diverse productions and flawless remixes have seen him gain an almost occult following down under. From his initial releases on Chicagos Still Music label, to his debut album on Fat City 'Working Nights' to his expertise as a tastemaker and label owner himself with Prime Numbers, Trus'Me is a complete package, a DJ's DJ who's addition to any lineup serves as a catalyst to the manic party that will undoubtedly ensue.
Chaos in the CBD are a couple of little fucks from NZ who like techno and chicken nuggets. But you know what – they absolutely rip the ears off it when it comes to getting a dance floor moving. Besides that we have local support from Robbie Lowe who needs no introduction, really. Charades and Boom Boom DJ’s will be laying down some music to make sure you dance well into the wee hours of the morning.
Come down early, don’t be shy – drinks are cheap, the music will be amazing and well you go find 3 amazing internationals playing on an amazing sound system at one of Sydney’s coolest underground venues with like minded clubbers for one night only.
Looking forward to seeing you all there sweating on the dancefloor x
